Two directors have been disqualified for operating a Phoenix company fraud.
International Pricebank Conferences Ltd maintained a respectable front in their business of organising conferences on international finance. Behind this front, the two disqualified individuals acted as shadow directors of various Phoenix companies which incurred all the debts and then were put into liquidation, leaving the front company to keep the proceeds. Three such companies were liquidated in one year leaving debts of over £200,000, of which £165,000 was owed to telephone companies and £32,000 in tax.
The disqualified directors are Tahar Benourad and Khalili Chfira, both of whom also use other names.
